Extraordinary Guardians Of The Galaxy Cosplay Makes Rocket Raccoon Exist In Real Life

One dedicated and artistic Marvel fan creates an extraordinarily life-like costume as Rocket Raccoon from James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy.

Amazing Rocket Raccoon looks so realistic, it's almost like the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 came to life. Voiced by Bradley Cooper, with its mo-cap performance by Sean Gunn, the fan-favorite snappy hero was at the center of the threequel as his origins story was revealed. At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Rocket was finally free from his haunting past and was ready to lead a new generation of cosmic heroes.

Inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy hero, Marvel fan and cosplayer Akela Taka shows off her realistic Rocket costume on TikTok. Check out the video below:

Since his debut in the MCU, Rocket has appeared in a total of six films. This particular iteration of the character is based on his latest appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Taka doesn't get into the creation of the actual clothes of the character. However, it's inspired by the red and blue uniform that the Guardians of the Galaxy members debuted in the threequel. The details on the overall suit are amazing, but the real star of the cosplay is the headpiece, which looks very similar to the character in the film.

What makes Rocket's headpiece so much more impressive is the fact that even Marvel Studios didn't use any practical gear for the character. The genetically-engineered bounty hunter was fully motion-captured, the same way Mark Ruffalo's Hulk is. This means that Sean Gunn had to wear a green suit to perform as the character. As seen in the video. Taka it took her several layers of plaster and molding to get the realistic look of Rocket. In the comment section, she reveals that she spent a total of 3/4 months creating it.

Taka's cosplay is so life-like that fans in the comment section are even suggesting that Disney Parks hire her. Many of them are in awe of her creation, but others mention how a human-sized Rocket makes them feel a bit uneasy. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 post-credits scene suggest that Rocket will continue to be part of the MCU, giving Taka more opportunities to create amazing costumes like this one.
